Here at ASI he had less than 40 minutes to deliver the message, so he had to leave out some information. I will post that UCA sermon if it becomes available. Can I just say, why don't you just listen to it again? I mean, don't get me wrong, he probably referred more to how much time was left on the clock than the scriptures, but you can't say that he didn't; Exodus 25 at 4:20ish? - sanctuary, Isaiah 14 at 6:48 - Lucifer will be 'like the Most High', Deuteronomy 19:16-19 at 8:02 - principle for judgement on a controversy, etc... There are more as you go through the sermon.

Hi you may not have realized that this? presentation was given to an Adventist convention-ASI. As he knew his audience and had to give this 90 minute sermon in 40 minutes(!), Ivor did not cite Scripture references regarding the sanctuary or Jesus' priestly ministry as they are well known to students of Scripture. I will be happy to supply these to you should you need them. But here is one in his sermon that some may not know: "Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire?" Isa 34:14

@GodzzzSon pt4 The text you read also says that God erected this Sanctuary and not man which further solidifies the point mentioned earlier that Jesus is in the Heavenly Sanctuary. Soooo... You're ultimate question (I'm guessing): When Jesus said "It is finished" what then did He REALLY mean? There would be no Gospel without Christ's death. ie no forgiveness of sins unless blood was shed (Hebrews 9:22) why? Because Romans 6:23 -the? wages of sin is death.

Another very good question! 1 Peter 2:9 describes us as 'a royal priesthood' What does that responsibility allow us to do? Hebrews 4:16 to... "Come boldly to the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need." Verses 14,15 same chapter adds more light on who our High Priest is.

After Christ's sacrifice the earthly sanctuary role was now fulfilled because it pointed to Christ's death which culminated the whole gospel. Hope U're still with me.

I have no problem with the sanctuary, but you are not gonna get people who? are struggling with drug addiction, a failing marriage, a loss of a job, loss of a spouse or child, etc. to respond to this kind of message. This message is more for someone who has been in the church and is already in a deep meaningful relationship with Christ.

@shannonk22 God's way IS IN THE SANCTUARY! His heavenly sanctuary reveals His love for us, His plan of salvation for the entire world. I don't know if you realized it, but that's THE GOSPEL! The importance of the sanctuary message cannot be minimized. That some never thought of the sanctuary and how it applies to Jesus' plan of salvation isn't His fault, it's throughout His word.
