There was absolutely NO controversy in this series, just a lot of hype! Well casted except for Jackie and Joe Kennedy. Joe did NOT have an English accent (that was comical!) and Jackie looked and talked differently. The wigs Katie wore were so fake looking, I thought it? all looked a bit "low rent." Ethel ws great and Bobby was the clear winner here, the actor clearly did his homework.

I loved this series, very well done! Kinner and Peppers were amazing, hell even Mrs. Cruise did a very good job! The ONLY nit pick I have is, LHO was shown as? JFKs assassin, but why no Sirhan Sirhan? Was the creators trying to tell us something? Like the thinly veiled scenes of attraction that Bobby had for Jackie AFTER JFKs death? I really liked the scene of LBJ getting angry with Bobby for his fast tracking to the presidency! This was a really well made series, kudos to the creators.

I enjoyed this show, but I think the TV mini-series called 'Kennedy' with Martin Sheen was overall better. Although Greg? Kinnear's physicality matches the real JFK better, I think Sheen's portrayal better portrayed the real JFK's mannerisms and character better. One BIG flaw in this mini? series is the complete absence of Edward Kennedy, who when the history books are written is actually the most influential Kennedy of all, in terms of his many years in public service 1962-2009.

One thing is for sure and completely irrefutable - Jackie and Ethel were the true class of the family!!! Both knew their husbands were having affairs (Bobby DID have an affair for several years with Jackie after teh president was? killed)!!!!! I think the real reason why this show was not allowed to air was because Kennedy? died in the show, obviously because that's what happened. But I believe there is an unofficial rule that in any movie or tv series a character depicting a US president (real or fictional) can not die. They can be put in coma like in 24, or get killed after their presidency (also 24) but they are not allowed to die during service. Think about it, has any US president been assassinated in any movie?

The interview was then locked and sealed away in the Kennedy family library. It? was Jackie's last wish that her daughter Caroline and John Jr. (r.i.p) to decide when to release that interview for us the next generation to learn about her husband. Once you read/or listen to the interview you will NEVER think of this as history. This is garbage.
