@pohatu4000 Hmm. I wouldn't be so sure. Maybe it isn't, but why would it be so tight compared to Dirge? In an older comment, I mentioned that my Dirge's left shoulder split apart soon after I got it. And the elbow hinge broke soon after that. Of course, maybe I just had a bad copy of? Dirge.

Hmmm. Finally got my paws on Thundercracker. And optibotimus, I think this IS a new mold. He's MUCH tighter than my Dirge, but with his own prob: the wings don't fit right in jet? mode. The color's a nod to the G1 toy, where the Botcon/Henkei were a nod to the G1 anime.

This is probably my favorite transformers mold judging from my? Starscream. It looks great and retro in both modes, has reasonable flexibility and is ridiculously quick and easy to transform. 5-star figure. It's still available some places and not stupid expensive yet. I'm thinking about getting two and customizing one to Skywarp.

I was a bit bummed out that they didn't? bother doing a small version of the Voyager Thundercracker/Skywarp head sculpt. I saw only one decent TC @ Target...the rest had stress marks around a joint on the wing, just like Starscream...so I passed on getting it. Of course, that was due to the good one being GONE by the time I had the funds to get it!

I had two, actually: the first was a busted one when I was nine that I found, just the upper body. The second was a full one I bought from a friend for five bucks when I was 11. (he later sold me his Megatron & Smokescreen, five bucks each...good times, those were.) Must find Universe Starscream, Classics Ramjet, Generations Thrust, and Henkei Skywarp...yes.

Good review. But you make one really common mistake. You have a tendency to put Thundercracker's wings too? far forward. The wing tips should be positioned right behind his tail fins in robot mode. That way they don't look like they bulge.

Hey, great review! I got my hands on TRU G1 re-issues of both Thundercracker and Skywarp, since they were always my two favorite Transformers, and hopefully soon I can get a Starscream. If I may ask... what is that place you mention in the video for getting replacement stickers? Do they have a website?? Again, cool video!

Alway worked better for me to swing the wings behind the vertical rudders.? This placed the wings at a slight angle behind the figure. (Definatly easier to get through doors and hallways LOL) Shame about the guns. You know they did it for the whole choking hazard thing. Wish Hasbro put out more seekers. Alot of colors out there. Best thing about transformers was the bio write ups. You could reuse molds but new paint and characters would have sold alot more figures.

I like it, but not as much as the new universe one. The Universe on has got a better wing lift, arm? that already attached, and better articulated everything. Looks much better then the G1, just with cheap looking plastics.

Well, I'd? consider it necessary, I don't know if it's possible to tuck the nose of the plane under the hole in the chest otherwise. I've never tried transforming him with it in, so I guess I might be wrong. You can always place it in the cockpit if you don't want to lose it. A website -forgot which one- gave me that suggestion.

I feel your pain. I recently purchased this figure at BOTCON 2010 paying over $100 for it and was frustrated to find the same problems you had. My wings were tight, but I had trouble with the guns falling off the arms, and my chest wheel or "nipple" as you called it was just as loose. I? hear that TAKARA has outsourced the assembly to China, I wonder how much that has to do w/ it? I have to say that I like the Generations one over Henkai, though only because I have the other Classics Seekers, and he fits in better than a Henkai one would... Nice review. I have Alternity Starscream and like his head sculpt (the lower half of his face could use some silver to better represent G1). The car mode is great but the robot mode is a bit kibbly. His skirt doors pop off a lot so I flip them upside down and brace them against his hood wings to form "quad/butterfly" wings; makes him sturdier and look even more alien/bug-like. Swivel joints are too loose on arms/legs, waist? is weak, and the ratchets are too tight. I guess TC has the same issues?

@CybertronianDestron: I personally don't like Revoltech TFs -- but to be fair, unlike Action Masters Revoltechs were never marketed as part of the Transformers action figure line proper, nor did they overwhelm the market like Action Masters did. The Action Masters were based on Floro Dery's models for Marvel/Sunbow, which were quite simplistic...? and they weren't terribly good representations either considering the generic proportions that they had. The Super Collection Figures and Heroes of Cybertron PVCs were better sculpted (albeit they weren't action figures). I've never been impressed with Action Masters on any level, and the worst thing about it was that they _dominated_ the toy line when they came out. (-_-)

But decoys weren't marketed as action figures, just bonus? trinkets. They were originally sold as pencil rubbers in Japan and then marketed by Hasbro as "decoys" - i.e. expendible junk to scramble target locks, modern jet fighters do the same thing with deployable flotsam. I like the decoys, they're fine. The difference with the Action Masters is that they WERE marketed as mainline Transformers action figures and they dominated the line, which sucked hard.

I see. To be honest, I mainly like Thrust because of his burgundy color (ironically, though, Thundercracker's cerulean is my "trademark" color with regard to my clothes, possessions, and decorating preferences)? and his unusual wings and tailfins. Honestly, I think that of all the Seekers, Starscream, Thundercracker and Sunstorm were the best characters. Thundercracker's portrayal as the one unsure about the Decepticon cause could have made for some great drama had they used it more.

Among the Seekers, Thundercracker certainly doesn't get enough love... everyone tends to? focus on Starscream and his overpowered, mentally overloaded, psychotic clone brother Sunstorm. I'm more of a Thrust fanboy, but Thundy is my 2nd favorite, and it's good to see other Thundercracker fans around.

I own the Kingtoys mini G1 Thrust (ghost version), and I've found that the missile launchers on mine don't shoot equally well. One of them shoots very consistently, but the other one is "dodgy"? as moshman pointed out. But when they do shoot properly, they are bloody powerful! They are proportionally much stronger than the ones on my full-size Thrust that I've rigged up to shoot.

From what I've heard from a prominent online TF dealer is that Thundercracker & Skywarp come as 1 bundle and they'll be abnormally expensive for an Encore: $80. Well, at least that's what that shop charges, I suppose they'll be normally priced at eBay. Encore Jazz, Starscream, etc. cost $17 so I expect the Thundercracker & Skywarp to cost no more? than $35 - $40 at max. Even Encore Optimus was released for $36 and Encore Megatron for $33.

Cool! I saw these figures on eBay but I was sceptical because they're unlicensed products but I had no idea that they were smaller and equally? detailed. Right now, I have vintage Ramjet & Encore Starscream, but they're basically the same. I might get one of these so that I have different ones, but still get the remaining seekers. The price is great. Thundercracker & Skywarp are going to get an Encore reissue during the fall though, so I'm not sure yet.

i stopped it at 4:36 and thought "anything more Useless" honestly, three guys all the same modle car, for gods sake two ARE THE EXACT SAME IN EVERY WAY EXCEPT COLOR!!! someone was fucking lazy, be it the creators, the toy makers, or the fucks who "PROOFED" these durring concept. I swear, the only differance starscream has is the head so my OPINION is just get him, he's the only kickass one anyways. I don't have a problem with the "questers" it is after all an "alternate reality version". Thundercracker is possibly the nicest looking of the? set, starscream's colours are nicer but I don't like the head sculpt/paint apps they make him look ugly. Out of all the alternity figures, thundercracker possibly just became my favourite, though I still think megatron is a nice figure too.
