Its human tendency to be wrong,? especially with lyrics like "today is the greatest day..." Pleasant music in the background helps too. If you replace music from horror films with happy music you would loose the effect completely. How could you ever know this song was about depression if you did not read about it or follow Billy Corgan's every move. Songs will always mean something different to each listener one should not be startled by this.

Yeah some Nirvana could be seen as overrated. I'm personally more of a fan of their earlier stuff from their Bleach album etc which is? underrated in my opinion. "Smells Like Teen Spirit" is the only Nirvana song shown on TV, and all the other ones such as Lithium, In Bloom, You Know You're Right etc. are rarely, if not, at all ever on the music channels. That annoys me a bit. Yeah AIC are a good, I am a fan of their song "Would" and also "Damn that River". "Rooster" is a good one as well.

I am not a huge pumpkins fan so I kind of stopped following them after mellon collie, but I do like them a lot and have tried to give some of their newer stuff a try. Yes, Lupe did rap over the original beat on a mixtape, but mixtape and album are two different things. The Cool, was Lupe's best album, hands down. LASERS although more popish, the lyrics and meaning were still there. FOTP, all tho it had dubstep beats it showcased? Lupe's flow and lyrical ability, and ability to rap over any track. Tunes like this are repetitive in terms of harmony - without any real surprises. It's nice - but not earth shatteringly great.
