Since the 1980s large corp saw the writing on the wall regarding pensions. They fased them out and replaced them with? 401ks. The unions get their power (like communisum) by expand and dues and when the pay, rights and saftey were all at the heighest levels back in the 80s they could have downsized and come back full force if their was a need but they keeped growing their power so these are not their only agenda. The dues go to Dems for relection so they can favor business, causes power.

A County Clerk makes between $32k and $75k a year. ? Perhaps, while living in a stranger's attic, one should be open to more realistic possibilities. What's wrong with tempin'? It'll get you out of the attic.

People? need to quit whining about discrimination. It's natural to discriminate. You discriminate when you choose a spouse, weed out suitors for your daughter, etc., etc. Whining about discrimination is for whinos.

An overwhelming majority of unions are only in existence for collective bargaining. I live under the common sense philosophy that if you dont want to work as hard as a job requires for the amount of benefits and compensation you get, you should quit or don't take the job in the first place. I'd love to hear of a union that? does not believe in using strikes to force companies to pay them more.
By: Charlie12241. on 26 Apr 12, 20:24:03
That's how you think every union works? ?
By: psiewert83. on 26 Apr 12, 04:54:59
Unions have been sucking businesses and the public dry since the day they were founded. Employees accept a job for $8 an hour, and 2 weeks later go on strike demanding $12 an hour. Because the? company cant afford to keep lines shut down they're forced to pay the higher salary. 2 weeks later it happens again, and again, until the company no longer can sustain the employees. When they go bankrupt they tell the employees that they have to take a pay cut or be laid off. The employees choose no cuts.

it's not really government funded...it's taxpayer funded healthcare for tax? payers...but the Republicans will never call it that. Health care providers make so much money...i've paid all my young adult life into my health care plan and I have never gotten sick. tha'ts 10 years of paying for nothing in return.

How are unions destroying businesses? They have been around for years. It's only recently that there have been mass "layoffs" and outsourcing. ? How can we be sucessful when the government blows our money? Do you think any normal person likes being helped? No because they want to be independent. Some people need help while they are trying to get a job. I'm not liberal, communist, socialist or any other ism.

Millions of jobless americans, homeless americans, and americans struggling? to get by, while our government spends trillions of dollars on a war. Is something not wrong with this picture ?? The government only cares about extending it's power, it can give a shit about the average american. We're fighting a war for the rich, with only the rich benefiting from the outcome.

By: RayAir1. on 06 Apr 12, 15:41:13
Whatever figure the gov releases, double it and that will be more? like the truth. If they claim 8.2, it 's more like 16.4 percent. And virtually all jobs being "created" are in the low wage service industry.
By: cadmaster102. on 01 Apr 12, 11:09:28
People sit around waiting for a job. They need to adapt and face reality. Move to an area where jobs are; sell your house, get a smaller one; claim bankruptcy. Accept that you need to change your life style and leave the image you're trying to keep. Work two shit jobs if that's what's needed to pay your bills. The lazy and unmotivated would have a change in tune if they're faced with living on the streets with the scum? of the "working class". Abolish unemployment Columnated Ruins Dominoe.

Unions seem to me like they ruin a lot of companies, just look at Boeing and GM, Unions can have the power to impede? a company's ability to compete and thrive. Then the company go's broke and leaves all of it's employes unemployed. Just my Opinion, not to say that unions are all bad though, they just need a happy balance.

America is? becoming a third world nation. Only jobs being created are in the low wage, dead end service industry.
