Every adult would've known that was code for "bitches", a word which at that time was completely forbidden in films - even to refer to in a coded, indirect way like this. This movie is one of the all-time greats. It is? just so well-written. The "Mary" character is pretty bland until the end so it's easy for "Sylvia" (Rosalind Russell), "Miriam" (Paulette Goddard) and "Crystal" (Joan Crawford) to steal the thunder. It's obvious from her name and looks that "Miriam Aarons" is Jewish and came from a less fancy background, yet steals a rich WASP husband - subtle comment on class differences. 1000 times better than the lousy remake.

It would not have been as objective as the study they have done but as additional data it would still have value. If done with a large enough group of participants it would still be relatively easy to recognise trends despite the subjective nature of the opinions. I know it would have possibly cost extra but I not as much as repeating the study on a larger scale a second time.

He is going to have an extremely hard time to make it in? the industry. He has the talent, but talent only gets you so far. Fantasia is a perfect example of this. It's pretty good if you ask me, if you played volleyball at ALL, you'd know that these guys have great? speed, accuracy and reaction time. What? You expected them to do gymnastics while playing volleyball? Is that what it takes to wow you? If you were there, you'd know what the title meant.
