But I think we have to get back to a State's Rights government where Federal Government is limited to only what the Constitution allows and let the individual states determine for themselves what the role of government should be within the borders of their own states. Free Speech was established long before the Bill of Rights and the Constitution and its definition can be found in the Federalist Papers. The Bill is granted to every individual in America but the first amendment does not entitle the citizens to free speech beyond the exercising of it relating to the government. The first line "CONGRESS". That does not limit the ability of the citizen himself to place restrictions on its use. You can not go into a? theater and yell fire if there is no fire if the owner of theater does not permit you to do so. The owner is not "Congress" therefore he has the right to protect his establishment.

I? know there are laws that prohibit speaking freely and other laws that shred your constitutional rights, I'm not unaware. But the Constitution and your Bill of Rights WAS meant to be the supreme law of the land. No article is going to convince me that the Bill of Rights wasn't meant to protect your freedom of speech. No state was supposed to create law that defies your constitutional rights, and the Bill of Rights places no limits on what you can and can't say.

Well, what I'm saying is there should be no "exceptions" to free speech. It says right in your bill of rights? that you are entitled to free speech. I don't see how you could interpret it in any other way, but you having the right to say whatever the hell you want. We were founded as a free country. We can't be told what we can and can't say decided upon by bureaucrats.

The Constitution requires legal interpretation, hence the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court has defined several free speech exceptions. One of them being obscenity. I invite you to research the Supreme Courts ruling of Miller v. California (1973). Public vulgarity is not protected under? the first amendment. If the first amendment was a free ticket to say anything you want in a public forum, there would be no such thing as a defamation lawsuit.

When they don't answer if they're officers, say "I'm assuming then that you're a citizen pretending to be an officer, please correct? me if I'm wrong". If you still get silence then "Well citizen I'd like to give you a hug" and open your arms to hug them. Maybe you'll hug a cop by mistake, maybe they'll try and cite you with assaulting an officer while you have video evidence that they did not identify as officers and refused to clarify.
