Lamest Dragon Dance I ever saw...& I've seen way better ones at my temple here in Canada and Downtown T.O. I was backstage when the dragon show was starting. The dragons come out of ToonTown. If? you look at the back of ToonTown, there is a cartoony brick wall. Through there there is where the floats are serviced and the rides. I was there for the Disney Band Recording

New Year celebrations and he got to see the Lions dance live for the first time - usually he is addicted to watching anything he can find about them on youtube! Yeah that's pretty accurate. Generally 40% of the park's guests are of Asian background. 20-25% of European background, and the rest are American. I've? always lived within 25 minutes of the Park and my mother was born in Anaheim. So naturally she's gone about 500 times in her whole life. Most people I know though - only go once a year. We used to go 40 times a year.

This is great that Disney is celebrating other cultures. But they are called lions not dragons and you should check out Leungs white cranes, they perform every year at the San Francisco Chinese New Year Parade at the end with the Lions Dancing and the Giant Dragon at the end, Ive been helping the kids with the moon, sun and animal sign (which is right before the dragon) for? the past 2 years. :)

Everyone needs o stop complaining! The fact that Disney has utilized a set of projectors powerful enough to redesign the side of a castle is an amazing accomplishment. However I do agree and believe the fireworks should be redesigned and have castle projections incorporate into? the show. I mean think of the possibilities! The projections are nice, but obviously a mix of "new media" and cost cutting on Disney's part. Mixing the two isn't really possible though, due to the lighting requirements for the projectors to cast the 3D effects well. I dunno, I'm not thrilled with it, but that's probably for nostalgic reasons. In 2020, I'll probably be watching one of your videos about their new "Holographic Self Lacing Nike Hoverboard Self Drying Jacket Show" and griping they? need to go back to projectors. :)

Maybe. I still tear? up to it, mostly for nostalgic reasons. (5 year old grabbing your cheeks and saying, "Daddy, I love this place" during the show will do that...she's nearly 8 now). But, if it does go, I'd like to see it replaced by another pyro show. I do have to admit that kid's nasal voice can be annoyingly cute, so much that it can be construed as forced. But, Disney would NEVER do that. :P

Yes, you're right. The Summer Nightastic fireworks was the first time Disney has used perimeter fireworks on a nightly basis? instead of occasionally during special events and parties. I think it's time for Wishes to go.

The projector brand, I'm pretty sure, is Christie. I think that's what you were asking for. Christies go up to 32k lumens, and they are using probably 20 projectors (bet they have more then that calibrated and installed in case of a failure)...32k x 20...That's a lot of light. It's really? sortof neat, as they project into the sides of the castle as well, so if you get a good view pretty much from any forward angle. I still...would prefer Summer Nightastic. :P

I remember sitting with my kid in front of the castle, and feeling the heat when Captain Hook says "give them the broadside boys", and it's nearly 45 seconds of explosions, we could feel the heat on our faces due to them being a lot of close up shots. Simply amazing. Anyhow, I wasn't trying to speak poorly about the projector, it's just that having seen Summer? Nightastic the year before, the nightly show/fireworks in 2011 were just underwhelming.

After reviewing the 2010 and 2011 Wishes presentations, they are largely the same (few fireworks differences, I suspect due to the fantasyland expansion). But, now I know why I liked 2010 better. Summer Nightastic. It was awesome. They used the new perimeter placements that year, and? I just didn't feel "The Magic Memories and You", while touching, was as epic. So, my original comment stands.

I dunno, last year it felt different. As if the Wishes fireworks were shorter. Didn't feel? the same last year when I went. Still, won't stop me from going, Disneyworld rocks! I'm going back for 2 weeks (like I do every year) this summer. I guess I'm just not fond of the projector show. This one looks to be better then the one last year though.

The same Wishes fireworks show that's been there for? 10+ years is still there. This projection show takes place each night before and after Wishes. It's not a replacement, only an addition.

I really am Scottish & I absolutely agree that Mike Myers does a great Scottish accent, in? Shrek and So I Married An Axe Murderer (classic line from the Dad at the wedding "Right, lets get p***ed!" hehe) It's a Scottish accent that sounds like a Scottish accent, not one that sounds the way people think it should sound, if you see what I mean :)

If you really are Scottish, you should be proud to know that your? awesome accent is virtually impossible to duplicate - especially by us Americans. The only actor I've seen do it well is Mike Myers and he's Canadian! I would love to be able to actually speak in a Scottish accent. I've been to Scotland twice. Love the accent. Can't begin to speak it.

She absolutely toned down her accent!! Have you ever heard Kelly McDonald before?! Look her up in an interview then rematch the brave preview. And better yet, why don't you wait until the movie comes out... Not sure we can all truly judge from the 5 lines we've heard thus far. Plus the girls in the park are out making magic for kids so if your 4 year old didn't like meridas accent I'm very sorry your child is going to have a miserable life just? like you!

Just because it's an American made movie doesn't mean they shouldn't attempt a? good Scottish accent. I can understand and identify accents from lots of different regions of the US, it wouldn't kill the US media to return the favour faithfully once in a while, research actual phrases we use instead of some of the nonsense they have her coming out with. The accent in the movie wasn't toned down btw, it was actually completely hammed up, the girl sounds like she's from fictitious Brigadoon.
