Why You Should Filter Your Tap Water Posted by: pelahale
Video duration: 1678 seconds I show what 10 years of tap water minerals, compounds, and other sludge deposition results in. My family have been drinking totally de-mineralized water for over 10 years with excellent results in health, nutrition, and absolutely no adverse effects. This might be a controversial and unwelcome viewpoint for mineral water proponents. Arguments are welcome. You know better than that. Good intentions do not always produce desired results, the same as evil intentions do not produce destructive results. Its chaos. I am disappointed that rather than believing in a continuation of the arguments of Marcus Aurelius vs Julius Caesar you live in a world where Batman fights the Riddler, or the Joker, or whatever that comic fairly tale childish crap? villain malevolent, omnipresent zionist illuniniti goblin thing exists in.

- You can't lump? all "civil liberties" issues into one or other divide because each law passed has its own agenda. For instance the Patriot Act was mostly a response to immediate terrorist activity concerns, the NDAA of 2012 might mostly be a positioning maneuver for re-election, but both may have corrupt schemes to garner votes from both aisles. Politics is dirty business & financial pay-offs & profiteering don't really directly play into whether one is liberal or conservative.
By: 1dducks. on 26 Feb 12, 00:02:37
Pelahale: question... Where is the divide on civil liberties? It takes both the liberals and cons to push the NDAA, patriot act, acta, CPU? act into law. Effectively limiting peoples liberties and labor rights. Where is the divide among the two sides on this?
By: pelahale. on 23 Feb 12, 08:30:51
@gonner212 you're assuming also. Is it better to want & actively work for human population expansion in a zero-sum game? Or is it better? to work towards averting the imminent disaster? Which side will ultimately cause "everybody to die?" Good intentions don't always produce desired results - Chaos theory again. This argument quickly becomes circular because we all face doom anyway unless we find a way off this fragile ecosystem.

"Robber barons" I was trying to connect multiple decades going back to the 1920s, i.e. Rothschild or the? Copper Kings, to show that nothing changes. I do not see politics as a team sport. I support neither team. My views are not represented in most western democracies. As for your reeling off of who you imagine I support (Buffet, LBJ, JFK) Gambler, idiot and Bay of Pigs Macnamara enabling cooze hound. It seems like you have assumed that I am one of your spectral 'progressives'.

"I'm avoiding finger-pointing" Here is your arguement: The right wing want to see humanity expand and prosper. The left wing want to see everyone DIE. How is that not finger pointing?? It is litterally not possible to have a more hyperbolic statement.
By: PavlovSandor. on 23 Feb 12, 02:27:00

-Imagine the motivations of those you refer to as "robber-barons" and "war-mongers" - (Bill Gates?Warren Buffet?George Soros?Steve Jobs? Perhaps you prefer Ed Whitacre, Meg Whitman; Dick Cheney? GW Bush? why? not LBJ?, JFK?, FDR?) - In order to appreciate humanity, you must be able to think beyond your emotions and think of politics not as a team sport, but as historical movements that have real consequences.

I thought more of you. I thought you had a critically thinking mind. Ive heard this conspiracy theory before. It exists in the realm of the Bilderberg group. The Illuminati. Green lizard things World views that overestimate? human power. To control itself or be controlled. That neglect chaos. Second by second shifts. The constant moving of technology. Power. Wealth. It is a simple world view. For simple minds I apologise in advance. But this coupled with your belief in genetic pre-determinism...
By: gonner212. on 22 Feb 12, 20:15:26
Altruism is a myth. This is a pointless statement. The average life, lived without incident, could be said to be altruistic. Small deviations one way or the other, cancel out. So what? Altruism is the norm. It is expected. Altruism is only important when it is lacking. The robber barons. The war mongers. The power crazed. They are without altruism? (even if your conspiracy ascribes them some James Bond villain motive) and they exploit and kill without thought.

I find myself very much in line with your thoughts on this? subject, though I could never express those thoughts as clearly, so thanks. I often find myself having compassion for those on the left, but not in agreement with them, much like the relationship I have with my children, or other youth that I volunteer with. I'm compassionate towards them because I see their desire and potential for good, although they're mostly going the wrong way to achieve it.
By: pelahale. on 22 Feb 12, 19:17:40
Thanks for your thoughts -? I agree lots of corruption everywhere. But In general The Dem/Repub split usually takes on the Left/Right sides consistently don't you think? They both demagogue to try to capture both sides of the fence around election-time, but their base clearly reflects the Left/Right divide.

Thanks Paul, those age/pop growth curves I think? reflects this same concept. Another reason the Left tries to enact Laws to suppress the compliant Conservative population: the volume-based procreation strategies of the destitute hordes cannot be suppressed without the use of force. But the compliant nature of the Right-leaning conservatives makes them amenable to population controls, so they suppress the population they can, so that something can be done at least.
By: saltyshellback. on 22 Feb 12, 16:59:46
Society has a kind of a self regulating mechanism. As societies move from subsistence to industrialization, fewer children are needed to produce the same amount resources to feed the population. In fact often a surplus is created. Thus, if you look at the? age demographics of industrialized nations, the curve is pretty much level, or even skew towards the older ages (30-70 year olds), vs. non-industrialized nations, the age curve skews towards the lower age ranges (0-15 year olds)

I think we are all born liberals in that our parents provide everything for us and we all tend to have a self centered and entitlement mentality. It is not until we have to provide for ourselves or work hard for something just to see others not work as hard but feel entitled to what you have; e.g. seeing your paycheck taxed to pay for welfare. I don't think anyone is against helping people in need, it's just that conservatives don't believe the government is the venue? to do so. Rogue bears..lol

Very interesting overview. I have really been enjoying your philosophy intermittently finding its? way into this otherwise hobby-centered channel. Great depth is achieved when the two are combined. As for the contest, it's very generous. I assume the majority of the prizes come in the form of a "purge" of your lesser used items. If this is the case, could you show what you currently use? Thanks for sharing, and please keep up the great work.
By: 1dducks. on 22 Feb 12, 10:43:11
Excellent analysis. Too bad conservative and liberal aren't congruent with republican and conservative. Throw money and special interests into the equation and it's extremely convoluted to? divide one from the other. I enjoy your rants, very thought provoking.
