Yes, and a broken currency is inevitable too, if you wait long enough. Our current way of life is far different than it was 100 years ago subsidies and welfare systems (individual and corporate) all make a difference. Our way of life became different foreign policy back to Wilson and interventionism and our government's role switched to? a domestic charity after churches couldn't cut it in the Depression. They set the stage for where we are now far more than the dollar.

I wonder if any gold is left in Ft. Knox either, and obviously the gold held by the NY Fed is as good as gone. It's all in the Rothschild vaults now. You are suggesting I use the vaccine that will kill 2,000 simply because the other vaccine will kill people as well. Your logic makes no sense. I like Ron Paul and his pro-liberty, pro-Constitution platform. I financially supported his campaign, and still have his signs. Economies have boom and bust cycles. The worst of bust cycles are depressions. By preaching doom and gloom by telling us to "just wait" for one...yes, eventually, you will be correct, because the cycle has hit? the right timing. Eventually we will have another bust. A broken watch is right twice a day, but is highly inaccurate for telling time.

I don't think it's that simple. I've been watching the gold market as Goldman Sachs and the FED team try to manipulate the price of gold downward. They have not been able to control it because of emerging nations such as China, etc. They had enough gold to control things back then, but with the mines? running constantly and the world expanding, they may need to increase their hold. There has already been speculation that the gold from Germany, of which we have stewardship, is GONE.

I have a lot of respect for Rand Paul. He's? been willing to put forth suggestions that offer real spending cuts, with the realization that we unfortunately won't get everybody in Congress to agree to a balanced budget, much less a Constitutional budget, overnight. We should push for the penny plan, and once we've gotten a balanced budget out of that, push for the elimination, one by one, of unconstitutional programs. One a month would be a good start.

As an anarchist, I personally think the debt and all gov't spending should simply be repudiated. This fellow is quite correct in that the solution will come from individuals taking hold and practicing their own? personal liberty. Hey that's a nice line about the two wolves and the sheep! I heard that before, but it's always nice to recall. Here's the deal though. I think democracy and socialism could be viable, but it would have to be a small Country with a high degree of racial homogeneity and? ethnic cohesion. In a multiracial swamp like todays America it's very dangerous indeed. There are too many wolves, not enough sheep, and lots of distrust and corruption. Politicians already gutted our Constitution.

I agree gov't should limit size and scope. That's a no-brainer. However, I'm not an ideologue about modes of gov't. I'm an ideologue about reclaiming a healthy White country for my kinsfolk to be proud of once more. As far as I'm concerned, nothing else matters. Certainly not what form of gov't you call it. I'm not sure the US gov't is salvageable. It's completely corrupted and? controlled by foreign influence. I long for a true revolution, and at this rate I may get it.

In any event, my analogy was about the changing shape of gov't as adaptive to circumstances, rather than set in stone. Ironically you insulted my analogy and then basically agreed. Under the right conditions democracy could be desirable. Democracy is not inherently good or bad. It's value depends on context
