Not only power but speed and, after seeing his fight agains Mir, precision in his punches, don't know if Cain is actually better in technique but he is very good.? If it was a? fair fight, doctors would have came in and stuffed that cut with vaseline and made it stop bleeding, like they did EVERY SINGLE TIME until now, so that Silva could actually FIGHT, not lie on the flood completely blind. Remember Struve vs. Stojnic fight? Struve was cut the same way in ground and pound, he was bleeding even more than Bigfoot. Fight was paused, cut was dealt with, and AFTER it stopped bleeding, fight was resumed.

Elbows should be banned. They're pointless. They don't do anything apart from cutting you. Nobody will knock you out with elbow strikes. Its just a easy way to make your opponent bleed. Also, UFC was unfair to Silva. Doctors didn't even look at his cut, cutman didn't even TRY to stop the bleeding from a fairly small cut,? they just wiped him and told him to go fight. But who is Dos Santos, some nobody? He is the UFC heavyweight champ with cannons for hands. No shame in being knocked out by such a man. It's true that your ability to take shots fades over time but that's exactly why I disagreed about Mir having a glass chin. Maybe he never? had the strongest one but he has been in the fight game a long time. That definitely contributed to his ability to take shots. Take the second fight with Lesnar for instance, that kind of pounding is just not good for you..

You don't judge a fighter purely on who they've beaten. You judge them on their skills. Imo, Cain's skills put him up amongst the top contenders.? Shane Carwin has good power, but overall, I think Cain is a better fighter. Werdum v. Cain is a fight I'd like to see. Could go either way, but my money would be on Cain. And Cain would destroy Nelson, imo. Roy's striking just wouldn't match up to Cain's. Just imo, since none of these fights have happened, but c'mon, give Velasquez some credit.
