This game, I remember an ooold? memory I had of it. AKA the I'm gonna piss my pants if I see ANYTHING since I JUST started this at about age... 7 or so after playing the first spyro, that god damn pig that comes out of nowhere behind that circle wall in that dark realm I forget which realm, but you're calming walking around and BOOM! Pig. Yes I didn't play the games in order and yes it took about a half an hour for my oldest sister to finally coax me into progressing. Haven't looked back since.

Aaaah... The little shudder ya get hearing that Playstation logo come up. Don't even know the number of times I've... Hmmm, what was it? 110%? 117? Bah, whatever, the % it goes to when you finish the game in it's entirety. Kinda sad that I've played this game enough as a kid that when I decided to play it again for the hell of it 5? or so years later, still got 100% (112%? 117%? I forget..) and all skill points just as I went along. Also know all the glitches faaar too intimately... Good times...

when I was 4, my game didn't work at the end. It wouldn't play the ending levels. Spyro would just go on his balloon and there would a black screen. I would play this game over and over hoping that I could reach the ending. I never? did reach the night world. But I remember playing this on my sick days along with tekken 3 and croc. so much funn

If you really must choose only one, get Year of the Dragon. It has basically everything the first game has and more, and I? think it's quite a bit longer.
