This is a horrendously unbalanced report. No-one can be forced to join a union. Closed-shops and union-shops were outlawed in 1947. There's nothing wrong with a debate about? the pros and cons of union membership but the obvious bias is sickening. Fox is not a news organization.

Businesses/schools can't run if unions demand for too much benefits. Free-market competition would make businesses have to offer more than 'slave wages' if they expect to attract any workers. The whole fight over work laws and unions? isn't exclusive to big businesses either -- they affect small businesses and gov't positions, like the public schools. Okay, ethical complaints aside, we all know Obama would usurp the Constitution if he could get away with it, so the question here is not how ethical is it, but how legal is it? Well they USED to, I've have worked for many other people and my pay was never rubber stamped. The days of 7-day? work weeks, child labor, etc are long gone, there is no need for unions. Your president gets $3,200 a year, plus the extra pay you guy already receive, benefits etc. IS a piece of the action. What do unions risk in a business? I'm so glad that this news station is a CBS affiliate! If it were a Fox News story the roaches would come out of the woodwork in an effort to discredit it. NLRB has sued Boeing now, and the lawyers on both sides will make a pocketful either way. I think attorneys who would involve themselves in bringing forth such action as this should be fined or disbarred for a period of time if they? don't prevail. There are two very important differences between your example and the public sector unions. 1. The money that pays for your employees is collected voluntarily. The government pays its employees with money taken by force. 2. You pay for the best, but you also demand the best. You don't pay for high-class employees and keep the bad ones. That is such BS. I started a bar in Romania last year. I have the BEST bartender in the city of Brasov. The BEST DJs in the city of Brasov. The BEST wait staff in the? city of Brasov. My customers are REALLY happy and surprised when they get there by the level of service they receive.
